Hey guys-
I was just poking around in craigslist today...and I found a couple Marina's for sale down in North Carolina.  They aren't really close to me, but they don't look half bad.  Here's the link.

The four-door is really nice. And now it's mine!  Wink

I've had MGBs for years and recently branched out into an Austin-Healey Sprite. My wife is now working more hours than me so I needed a four- or five-seat English car to haul our kids around. (There is no "fun" in driving the minivan! And my wife gets to drive the MGB every day!)

I know the guy who was selling the Marinas - I bought an MGB from him a couple of years ago. So I went and test drove them and bought the 4-door. The GT runs and drives well, but it wasn't as practical with three kids as the 4-door. I'm getting new tires on it tomorrow. So far, I love it! (And my kids do, too!)

Congrats!  Any idea on how much he wants for the 2 door now?  Was it pretty much turn-key ready to go?

I don't know how much he's asking for the GT by itself. I think he had advertised the pair for $4500, so I guess it would be around half that (give or take a bit).

Yes, you can just hop in it and drive home. It does have some rust bubbling up through the paint here and there and the original seat covers are torn (he has cheapy covers over them). It runs and drives and seems to handle fine. He says the air conditioning works (I didn't try it).

Good luck!

Hey Chris,

I know that the GT we're talking about here came from Florida. And in looking at "Mike's GT" in the gallery on this site, I am almost 100% certain they are one-and-the-same.

Well the tyres are getting changed this week. Talked to Skip and going to put some smaller tyers on. I had talked to my friend at the local service station that i get all my parts from and he had already ordered me a set of 155 75 13. Wasn't going to put them on but he made me an offer of 110 installed i can't pass that up for now. As far as the ac haven't tried it yet. Not that interested in the ac right now even if i kept the ac i would have to change it to r134a.
Main thing right now is frontend work lights so i can get the title change. My goal is to keep the girl original.
http://wylde.homelinux.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=908  here is a few pics i have so far, besides the one listed on the forum.
Ok im a big internet junkie and love to chat in forums so lets get this one going and talk Marina's. I'm ready !!!!!!

Very cool.  Definitely keep it stock, there aren't enough around to mess with them too much!

I love that silver GT!

I had Gary's beautiful 1975 Marina saloon. Sadly it now has some collision damage on the front right. I've put it up for sale in this forum.

Cheers!
