Okay, here is to introduce a new car, one that has been offered for sale for a little while and is known to at least a couple of people on the forum, affectionately named "The Turd" by my beloved wife this one was last ran in 1992 (correct me if I am wrong Jim).

I collected it two or so weeks ago, brought it home, a quick wash and into the garage for repairs, new points, plugs, condensor, battery... we have spark. Original starter a little weak, new starter on, works a treat (thanks for the "co-operation" Skip), fuel pump works good, new fuel line, filter, re-build of carburettor (very gummy - see pics)..... runs like a top!

A solid week of rain has given me the opportunity to blast and paint the wheels, now for some new rubber on them and to choose my hub caps.....plenty of time to make that decision.

I have a stuck cylinder on one of the wheels for right now so that will be something to play with tomorrow.

Hopefully hitting the inspection station soon, our state allows us one inspection for classic cars, then just renew over the counter for as long as you own the vehicle. So an inspection sticker first, then to start on the body. This one will look a little different when its all done.

I am looking for completion by September of this year, just in time for the town's British car show (www.bccdelaware.com)
Check out the pics so far. I havent loaded the page up with pics as I know some of us don't have a super fast connection speed.

Enjoy

So much for eliminating some tasks, I'll have to continue to check in to watch the progress.  I know it wouldn't take much to get it going and I knew it was going to a good home.  Yes, sometime in 1992 is when it went into hibernation.  It could have been starter problems.  Keep up the good work.  I hope it gets a new name.
